"The hotel is on the island of Lido about a 40 minute taxi boat ride away from Venice. We didn't realize just how far away it is, it's not a convenient place to visit Venice. "This is a fantastic property and very well run. The breakfast was terrific - be sure to ask for eggs if they forget to offer - and cocktail hour lovely. The day staff were friendly and helpful. The man on the evening shift, however, was almost unpleasant when we asked him to cancel a dinner reservation (an hour in advance) that they had made for us earlier in the day. Not sure why this was an infraction? FYI!"
