"Excellent ambience "

"We enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel. We were upgraded to a suite which was nice. The breakfast and restaurant were good and staff were keen to help. If I had a criticism it is that service can at times be slow despite there being lots of staff around. "

"This is my second time stay here, last time it was bad - this time it was worst. I booked it because there was no other hotel that was available in that area. In the night it rained heavily and water was splashing inside the room from through the window. The curtains were broken. The staff were nice but this is hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The staff though nice, did not know clean practices, they were using no gloves when then were preparing food for breakfast in the buffet area....

"The bed sheets and pillow cases were not clean The bathroom shower area was dirty Breakfast could have been better with more continental choices. I had asked for a special impetus but they said they won’t be making eggs as they had scrambled eggs - which was very cold!"

"This property is a great value if you are staying in Mahabalipuram. Its a bit dated however the staff is excellent and accommodating. The location is perfect for visting the temples and the beach. "
