"Staying at the Royal Haciendas was lovely but there are some pros and cons you should way depending on what you like and value the most! This is based off our all inclusive package. Pros: -amazing staff and service. The staff here are very kind and very attentive. You get drink and food service at the pool and beach. And free room service with the all inclusive package. -great food. The buffet is smaller than I expected but all the food that is there and at all the restaurants is so delicious....

"Our stay in Occidental was awesome. The staff were friendly and attentive. The best part was seeing the wildlife walking through around the property. The monkeys roaming around outside our balcony during our stay was a great treat. The food was great. We enjoyed the buffet by the beach more so than the main buffet inside the hotel. "

"Took 14 people there. Employees worked hard to take carer of us. Room was big and cleaned. Most of the shows were great. However, it was a 15 minute walk to the beach at a fast pace. The tram they use is slow and not very safe or reliable. Somedays we didn't have hot water. Very poor water pressure. Sliding door was extremely hard to open. Need better lighting on trails with signs. "
