"Very good location and the room was very spacious, however the breakfast was not good. Had to wait for items to come out and the bacon looked like it had been boiled. The coffee was in a flask and very weak. Not what I have experienced at other hotels in the chain."

"I would recommend a stay here for the fabulous central location. The room was clean and check in instructions were very clear. Please be aware there was no reception as such, but if needed you can leave your luggage at the bar next door, and there were emergency contacts listed. We didn't need any of this but good to know. There were a couple of bottles of water in the room and some discount vouchers, all of which were an unexpected bonus. The kitchenette was handy if you wanted to make a drink...

"Pluses: Cute, clean little unit with nice amenities, friendly helpful staff. Minuses: If you are sensitive to noise, you should know that this is right next to a pub with a beer garden, and they played loud music with patrons singing along enthusiastically until 9:30 on the night I was there. After that, a little quieter, but noise was noticeable up until 11 PM or so. AC control didn't work, which meant I had to open the skylight, which let in more sound from the adjacent pub."

"As always the Hotel staff are friendly & always on hand, not just the Bar and Restaurant staff, but the Housekeeping team are always around should need your room done or other services. "

"The Milner is a beautiful building, and the service and room were very nice. Strangely, they only have a few OTA channels with no guide on the TV. I didn't visit York to watch TV, but it's relaxing after a day's walking."
