"I really enjoyed both York and the hotel. The only problems I found is too many stairs and too long walk to room especially when carrying bags. There was no armchair in room and so it was difficult to be in the room as nowhere to sit. Staff were very helpful. I was locked out of room on departure day before I had time to leave with bags. Staff member let me in."

"Visited for our 32nd wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. Booked a classic double room but when we arrived were informed that they upgraded us to an executive room which was really large and immaculately prepared. We had use of the spa facilities if needed for additional cost but free use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna for 1 hour per day which made for a relaxing time after a long walk around York. Breakfast was really nice with a large choice of continental and cooked items. Our morning waitress, Millie, was extremely helpful with all of our requests especially with regard to help with the afternoon tea menu. "
