"Really nice place! Remodeled a former motel and did a fantastic job! The attention to detail in the comfort of guests and style design is top notch! The lobby is quaint and comfortable. We met other couples, sat by fireplace and had a complimentary glass of wine. We didn’t get to experience the lounge downstairs because it wasn’t open on Mon-Th, but WOW! We would highly recommend staying here. Great for couples! "

"The Grand Residence is South Lake Tahoe was originally- a residence, where one could purchase 12 weeks or more at a time. Now it's a Marriott time share, and it's a block away from their other timeshare, Timber Lodge. The Grand Residence has a pool, hot tube, and a surprisingly good work out room, but it's not a resort with a bar, restaurant, or daily activities. It's quiet. no music at the pool. "For a medium-rate hotel, this was a pleasant stay. Close to all the South Lake Tahoe amenities and lake, the King with microwave/fridge was a great deal. Fave things: good noise dampening — was so quiet and the hotel was 100% full, the ultra modern/clean/bright bathroom (perfect mirror for makeup/hair and huge sink counter), easy parking for a fee cheaper than most hotels, and really nice 24-7 coffee station in the lobby (as a decaf person this was heaven.) "Very clean room, had plenty of storage for clothes and groceries, very practical kitchenette. Room access is very simple to use, safe and support responds quickly. 6-8 minute walk to heavenly depending on how fast you can walk, 5 minutes or less to lakeside beach, parking is free but is $30 per person to access beach. Very central to everything great hiking spots is all directions. "

"Super dog-friendly and plenty of amenities inside the room and around the property. Loved the fact that you have a mini kitchen and living room in your room. Only downside is that there is no AC but tons of fans and can open the windows to allow the breeze in. Staff is friendly they keep the property clean. "
