"Our home away from home in NYC. We have been staying here since the end of lockdown, whenever we are in New York. We love the personal service, cleanliness, living room on the second floor, roof garden, and, of course, the books. We store our luggage after checkout, still have access to the 2nd floor, and it is convenient to both Penn and Grand Central. We can walk to the theater district. "

"It’s NYC so it’s going to be a little gritty. Driving east on 54th, it’s hard to spot given all the construction/delivery trucks/pedestrians in the street. Once inside, things get better quickly. The rooms are old and the furniture is dated, but the back of the property is very quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"The staff at this hotel is what sets it apart. They are very friendly and professional. The property itself could probably do with some updating because it is a little old-fashioned. However, it is really well-maintained and it represents a great value in Manhattan. I would definitely stay here again."
