"We came to Shrewsbury to travel by train to Cardiff to go to see a rugby match. The Holiday Express was a perfect location. The staff were friendly, the bar and small restaurant were adequate - we had a light evening meal which was good. We stayed 2 nights, the room and bed were very comfortable and the breakfasts were absolutely superb - the best we have had in any hotel. It was also very quiet and safe to leave our car. "

"My daughter and I stayed for 1 night as we were attending performances at the nearby theatre. The hotel was lovely and we were lucky enough to have what a couple of the staff described as the 'best room'. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was a little soft for my liking, although still comfortable. All staff we encountered were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The small amount of food we had was a hit, especially with my daughter! We would definitely stay here again. "

"Fantastic location overlooking the Severn. We stayed in bedroom 2 which was verry well appointed. large bed, large bathroom with a nice deep double end bath and separate walk-in shower. Food choices were great for evening meals and the choice for breakfasts was impressive. We will certainly use this inn again."

The duvet was only Summer weight so we had to use a towel and our coats to try and keep warm. Breakfast was continental and good, but a full English would have been preferred after a cold night! "We arrived at 6pm and waited 10 minutes to check in. The room we reserved was unavailable. We drove for 20 minutes on single track to arrived from Shrewsbury. The breakfast was none existent. The room was clean and tidy but the lighting was terrible. I think 6.0 rate is suitable."
