National Bowling Stadium

Experience the excitement of one of America’s favourite pastimes at this iconic stadium in the heart of glittering Reno.

If you want a true taste of Americana, there's no better place to find it than at a tournament in one of the biggest and best bowling centres in the world. Slap bang in the heart of Reno, the National Bowling Stadium has been welcoming professional competitors and plentiful spectators since 1995. It’s easy to see why they call this place the “Taj Mahal of Tenpins”; as you settle into your luxurious seat, watching the cream of the bowling elite, you too will feel like tenpin royalty. The exterior architecture is impressive. Stand almost anywhere in the city and you can see the sun’s rays reflecting off the 24-metre domed façade of this landmark building. Inside is just as dramatic with its plush four-storey foyer complete with splendid glass elevators. Before you head up to the luxury stadium to take your seat, snap a few photos of your friends and family with the bronze Brunswick statue. Upstairs, join over 1,000 other spectators as you take your place in front of one of the 78 championship lanes. State-of-the-art graphics are displayed across the world's longest video screen so it’s easy to keep a constant eye on all the action. And, when the competition ends, the night doesn’t have to. Head on to the Stadium Club for some late-night drinks and post-tournament analysis. Kick back and relax or challenge your friends and family to a game of billiards on the beautiful antique table as you drink in the stunning neon views of Reno. While only competitors are allowed to bowl on the tournament lanes, visitors are welcome to try out the sophisticated Computer Aided Tracking System (CATS) lane. Based in the stadium’s Pro Shop, this lane uses computer technology to assess your technique and recommend improvements. Affectionately known as Lane 81, the shop is the best place to purchase all the bowling equipment you'll need to ensure you return the following year as a professional player. Best of luck!
