"We had a nice stay at Balgownie. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting, the grounds were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the room (admittedly, we chose the “standard” room) was adequate. The gym was untidy, the AC didn’t work in the gym (nor did the Wi-Fi) and it’s a small gym/pool area. It’s a nice location for exploring the area."

"Lovely 2 day stay . Marred by the fact that the chic restaurant was not open so had a bistro type meal. Surroundings and hotel itself were very peaceful and did the trick to revive the body. Golf course in site was quality for good players. "

"We stayed here as a last minute decision. The establishment was probably a conference centre but now largely unused. Room was comfortable and quite large but surroundings were in need of some TLC. . It was close to some good restaurants in the nearby shopping centres. I t felt a bit spooky being the only guests in the wing but could be pleasant if the place was full. "

"We had a lovely stay at Buttercup Hill. The room and bathroom were spotless (the Donna Buang room has bathroom that is separate but private (not shared) with bath and separate shower. Lovely areas to sit on the verandah or inside. Plenty of gourmet teas, coffee and cookies available. "The cottage was very clean and beds were very comfortable. It had good heating and the spa was lovely. Breakfast was provided but we did stay 2 nights and felt that the provisions were only for 1 night especially when 4 people booked. We used the resturant and the meal was generous and nice.
