"Very pleasantly surprised. I thought low price meant fairly average but the Ibis Southampton exceeded my expectations in every way. Friendly, efficient check in, bright, clean, comfortable, quiet room. Had a drink from the bar when we got back after a show at the Mayflower theatre too. Couldn’t fault the whole stay, brilliant. "

"Everything first class. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Appreciated our luggage being taken to and from our room. Standard room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed using the coffee machine and appreciated the excellent breakfast tea and china teapot. Lovely biscuits and complimentary gin too. Also liked the chocolates and handwritten postcard for my husband's birthday, a nice gesture. Made full use of the spa facilities the following morning namely the pool, jacuzzi and relaxation room. Would highly recommend a stay here."
