"We had a wonderful 4 days/3 nights. We however want to share an extremely rude encounter with a day desk clerk, Monday, 3/24. My sister and her 2 kids were looking for a vacation spot and decided to swing by Shephard's to spend the day, eat great food, etc. When we asked how to make that happen, the clerk went through the do's and don'ts (there were quite a few to remember and relay to my sister) my husband asked her to write down the fees so he didn't give wrong information.....the clerk wrote THIS on a piece of paper - "come see me" and then crumpled it up and gave him nothing. My husband is the nicest guy on the planet, so he just walked away. I tried to find a manager in the office so as not to be cranky in front of other guests...but never found one in the office. Completely unnecessary treatment of my husband and terrible behavior by anyone representing Shephards! My sister called to get the information - got the same person and was also treated unkindly. Other than this EVERYONE else was top-notch. Friendly. Fun. "

"Overall it was a góod stay for coming after the hurricanes. Room was ok and bathroom has doors hanging off the cabinet. Needs some room improvements."

Only thing I was disappointed about was the lack of first floor amenities (no laundry, fitness center, etc.) but that’s understandable considering the circumstances (hurricane previous Fall). You cannot beat the location, would love to stay here again :)"

"I highly recommend this hotel for the price and location. The rooms were standard rooms. The parking was free, and it’s a quick walk to everything. The rooftop bars have amazing views and free shots at 7:30pm. My only complaint was the free breakfast in the morning was really minimal. No eggs, mostly bagels, cereal, toast and yogurt, but comparatively speaking, breakfast and parking were not included at the other hotels, which were also twice the price. We will stay again for sure! "

"A 5 star property, great dining options, a beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets, pool, hot tub, spa and recreation activities such has corn hole, ping pong and biking. Lots of young families with kids. A great vacation especially if you like to combine a beach vacation with luxury and also watch a few Phillies spring training games."
