"After viewing many different hotels in downtown Chicago, we decided on Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile. The front desk staff were nice and welcoming - and were able to answer any questions we had. We LOVED our room. The layout reminded us of an apartment. The hotel was also very quiet, which could be because we went in the middle of the week in winter, but besides the point, it was lovely. "The only drawback was that the hotel charges $10 for parking and doesn't tell you about it when you're checking in. We didn't know about it until we got our bill at checkout. A little late then to park somewhere else or at least know about it. I thought that was rather nontransparent on their part. "

"The Drake is located just a few steps from the shopping on Michigan Avenue. Rosebuds Steakhouse is down the street too. I would highly recommend eating there. We loved staying at the Drake. It was nice to have two bathrooms in our room also. We will definitely stay there again!"
