"I ended up putting out my back that laid me up for my entire vacation. Fortunately we had this great condo to stay in. I had great views of both the lagoon and three pools. Good restaurants within a very short walk, which was great because I couldn’t walk very far. Awesome view of the fireworks on Friday night. Bed was extremely comfortable even with my back issues. Very happy with our stay. "

"We used this BED& BREAKFAST while our house was being rented for termites on Monday, March 24, 2025! We booked an extra night just in case. We stayed here 17 years ago the last time we tented our house. It's close to home& convenient! Mahalo to the staff and the front desk employees for helping us get everything done that we needed to in order to be able to stay there with our kitten. We will definitely be back again when we need to stay somewhere for whatever reason arises. 💞 ALOHA FROM...

"First time at The Modern. The staff was always welcoming and courteous. Embodying the Aloha Spirit. I stayed in a king room, partial ocean view on the ninth floor. The room was clean and comfortable. Daily housekeeping was very thorough. There is an adult wading pool area which was relaxing. The main pool is small but I didn’t see it crowded though most of my days were away. Waikīkī shops are walkable, albeit long walk. Suggest you take an Uber/Lyft. I would stay there again. "

"Our stay in the city view was wonderful. The room itself was clean, well stocked, cozy and had that charming Hawaiian feel! The bed was very comfortable for my mom and I. The seating area was such a nice feature for our week stay along with the kitchen that had everything you needed. Also, so appreciative of the tasty coffee we had everyday brewed in the coffee pot. The location itself was within walking distance of everything. The only setback was that there was not any hot water in our shower....

"Very convenient for a pre or post flight stay and the shuttle service is excellent. Its in an industrial area so you're reliant on the hotel for food. The Chinese restaurant is actually really good but closes at 7.30pm. The little shop has frozen food for the microwave in your room otherwise and there is a bar. A train station veey close by will be operating soon. Probably going to be a mixed blessing when it does."

"This hotel is great! Hotels are not meant to live in so we used it as just a place to sleep while learning the love and culture of Hawaii! Amazing place! Bed is super soft too!"
