"The Thunderbird Lodge is a very nice older motel. Design is clearly from the 1950's/ 60"s with small rooms and outdated design. Everything worked well and the staff was very nice. Food was acceptable (actually the best of the food available in Chinle, which is in the heart of the Navaho Reservation and isolated. There are limited options for non meat eaters, we were aware of this and brought some of our own food."

My husband and I love trains so staying in a historic Harvey House was for us was a fabulous experience. The staff was quite friendly and accommodating, the building is something to behold, the meals at the Turquoise Room were exceptional, and they have an awesome gift shop with knowledgeable sales staff.
