"This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room itself was dirty—stained bed sheets, no duvet - just a thin sheet, plugs falling off the walls with exposed wiring, clumps of dust and towels that were old and fraying at the edges. There wasn’t even a bottle of water in the room. The worst part? They gave us a room that was already occupied by another guest. Imagine walking into what you think is your room, only to find someone else already there. It was deeply embarrassing and unsettling, and yet there was no apology from the staff. To add to the frustration, when I asked for a spare room key as I was sharing a room with a family member, receptionist told me she’d already given one to the other guest and when I explained that I needed my own as I had a few plans on my own, she rolled her eyes before finally handing over a card—begrudgingly. The corridors were pitch black, with no lighting whatsoever, making it dangerous to walk through. Worse still, the only way to get to the first floor was via an open staircase. When it rained, the floor became slippery, and with no warning signs, it was a complete hazard. The entire experience felt unsafe, unprofessional, and deeply unpleasant. The standards of this hotel had gone downhill significantly. "

"A great three days at Ella Flower Garden. The team are very helpful with information, including ringing the station to find out about trains. Probably the best views in Ella as you are located right at the access point for Adam’s Mini Peak. Lovely breakfast of eggs / fruit or Sri Lankan. On site restaurant was good for lunch too. We had massages on site which were fantastic and relaxing with a stunning view. So friendly and great with our little boy."

"Relaxing 2 nights. The views are incredible. Easy access to Little Adams Peak. A short tuktuk to 9 arches bridge or town centre. Breakfast wonderful with lovely fruit and other good choices. Dinner good. The only negative is that the pool is in a sister resort club which requires entry fee."

"The tent was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the entertainment was good. There were board games to play, books to read, wi-fi in the communal areas and sports to play. There was a BBQ meal in the evening which was very good and the children could roast marshmallows around the fire. Overall a great experience "

After a day of exploration, the campsite offers a peaceful retreat with delicious meals. The food is freshly prepared, and the chef does a fantastic job. The whole team is wonderful; so gracious and do their best to meet every request, always with a smile. Overall, Yala Safari Camping offers an excellent balance of adventure, nature, and comfort. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or just looking for a unique getaway, it’s a fantastic option that provides an authentic and memorable safari experience. It is beyond magical. Leaving here is hard. "
