"Was upgraded to room 1257 which had amazing views great size, but had 2 single beds. We asked if it could be made up as a double they said no as they dont have bedding big enough. We could move but to a lower grade room, so decided to stay in the one we were given and pushed the 2 singles together. It wasn't ideal for us but for 5 days we lived with it. "The Volcan is a lovely resort with very good staff and service. I gave it only four stars for several reasons. The food was very bland and boring and we ate in the restaurant at night just twice in 11 nights. Apparently there was another restaurant on site but it was closed. Fortunately we were at the Marina with lots of food options and ate there the rest of the time. We had Breakfast there, but no fresh strawberries, Raspberries or Blueberries. "Nice friendly reception (though not too conversant in English). Really nice touch of a pair of welcome cava on first day and a whole bottle during christmas day! Spacious and well equipped pantry in apartment with nice balcony where you can chill and even wash items to dry. Apartment had abit of musty smell before we reached and had to be aired out - thereafter it was alright."

"A lovely hotel with great facilities and bedrooms, the only thing letting it down was the restaurant. Only stayed one night but the quantity, quality and variety of the food was poor. Difficulty in finding plates and extra cutlery and food was not topped up in a timely manner. Pity as in all other aspects the hotel was great. Poorest food we’ve ever had in H10 hotels or indeed in any other 4* hotels."
