"If you’re looking for fancy and new, this isn’t it. The property was probably built in the 1960’s and you still use old fashioned turn keys to open your room. Bathrooms have been updated. They have mini fridges and a keurig in your room. Wi-fi is spotty but I found that was the case everywhere in the mountains. Short walk on concrete to Lower Yosemite Falls gorgeous views and just breathtaking to be in the heart of Yosemite Valley. "

"great location. convenient setup with bathroom, food court, lounge etc. unheated tent is Cold in March, but with one sleeping bag and one blanket it's ok for us including the 10 years old. "For the price, I expected better. I used to be a gm for a luxury historic hotel, so I am very familiar with the hospitality industry. The Ahwahnee is a beautiful property. The wait staff, valets and bellmen were excellent. The concierge was rude and rather snotty. (I believer her name was Michelle). The blankets/comforters on the beds were terrible, thin little things.
