"If you’re on a budget and still want to be well located for a Brighton getaway this hotel is perfect. As you walk in the reception desk is on your left and a very cozy bar is straight ahead. Very nice and professional staff. I got a sea view double and the staff put me in 419 which is apparently the nicest sea view room. It’s a nice but basic double room with a flatscreen tv, coffee / tea area, wardrobe, desk etc. the floors are a bit uneven but that seems to be the theme in this old hotel....

"Was given a quirky room at first (tv on a bracket on the wall which didn’t swivel so couldn’t watch from the bed and the only chair was below the tv, no place to put kettle unless on a very small table next to the bed (kettle tray bigger than table) and no sockets anywhere other than by the bed so my wife wouldn’t be able to dry hair anywhere near a mirror). On mentioning some of this to the staff, they understood and moved us to a different room. This room was huge compared to last one, and we...
