"Difficult to tell if it is called The Hotel Portas da Amazonas or Acorte. Situated next to the cathedral and near the fort. Within walking distance of Docas (markets water trips and eating) but out of the main city. We were told to take extreme care if out walking at night. Breakfast finished at 9. "Clean , comfort and a good location "

"Fairly new hotel in a good location. Clean linen every day. Their was some black mold in the bathroom. the water pressure was really low. "

"As previously reviewed, I loved the staff, breakfast and location of this hotel. It was a very good deal, so we extended our stay for 2 more nights. Would definitely stay again!"

"This would have to be the worst hotel ive ever stayed at.Bathroom full of mosquitos. requested fly spray, didn't have any. Had to go find shop to buy fly spray. Breakfast was a comedy. Terrible hotel, only good thing was plenty hot water in the shower. Floor was filthy when walking around in bare feet"

"Room was clean and towels changed daily. Staff were friendly and some spoke English. Manager also spoke English and was was slicing. Breakfast could of been better more choices but was acceptable and could of been due to slow season. Love the outdoor and pool area. I will definitely stay again as i feel they will continue improving. "
