"Great accommodation for the price. Breakfast was very good value and the owners are clearly passionate about hospitality. If you want to travel between Anjuna, Vagator and Assagao, then this is in a perfect location. Standout is the pool, which is a good size and usually pretty quiet."

The food was excellent and the kitchen staff were so kind, approachable, and we had actually come to a point of befriending them as they were familiar with us and our preferred orders. "Stayed for three weeks. Got lucky with the only room where the balcony had the sun all day as no pool here. Peaceful and quiet. Corner shop for necessities and currency exchange just down the road. Would stay again happily. Plenty of places to eat in the area."

"We had a really nice experience at the Tamarind Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room was, although small, was very comfortable with plenty of space in the adjoining bathroom. Our only criticism is that the 'family pool' wasn't really suitable for very small children as the shallow end was still too deep for a toddler or small child to stand or play in."

"Well the history and the place is fab....the staff brilliant!! Dont go to a posh one come here!! The chef is the best..veggie heaven....its a older b and b..hotel..but thats India!! For the price you cant beat it!!! The staff cannot do enough...food....car...bike...laundry....fantastic!!! Anything...!!! "Perhaps by Goan standards this place is good, but despite its picture-postcard setting, I think it’s over-priced and lacking basic facilities. My room was lacking some obvious amenities including a fridge, bath mat, hair dryer, tissues, phone. All pretty standard for a “3+ star” hotel, even in India, no? Towels supplied aren’t of good quality and have ‘marks’ meaning they don’t look clean even if they have been washed. Bed linen and table cloths had holes and dirty marks too. Poor tea and...

"The owner, Marnie, was absolutely lovely and helpful. Restaurant area as right on the beach. Unfortunately the tent area didnt really match expectations and looked really in need of some TLC - bit of paint on the concrete, fill the fountain, wash the tents etc - just all seemed a bit neglected. Tents OK inside although the rest area for the staff was so close they kept us awake chatting and revving scooters. Not great but easily made better."
