"The hotel is right in front of Copacabana beach with restaurants, beach bars, and supermarkets nearby. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast with a lot of variety. The hotel is kind of old. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Olinda Rio Hotel."

"Very slow checkin... but very nice! One of the elevators was not working so it would sometimes take a while to get to your room. The lobby was nice and the rooms we ok.. a bit outdated but nice size rooms Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast buffet was very nice with great selections! Overall not a bad hotel for the price! Was great location for The concerts I was there to see!"

"Wonderful staff. The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"We stayed last minute after a cancelled flight so was just a place to rest for a few hours. Room sad and tired and old. Staff at check in not overly friendly but the breakfast staff lovely. It’s not luxurious but at that price I guess can’t be surprised. Bed was comfy despite the room looking in need of improvement. "

"Staff got me a room at 11am on the day of check in, way earlier than the regular check in time, that is awesome because I needed some sleep from a redeye flight. I checked out at 12pm but stored my luggage and they have shower facility for a fee of less than US$3 which is very inexpensive. The breakfast was awesome, so much selection in the buffet. The pool is small, I did not use but the steam room on the rooftop one floor above the pool works really good. I’ve been to Rio 11 times and I stayed different hotels and this is highly recommended. All the staff I met was courteous and friendly. "
