Barra Tijuca is quite a bit away for major attractions so be aware that you'll be taking Uber quite a bit, however to balance this, the atmosphere is calmer, the beach is less busy and the local shops are cheaper "

"Convenient hotel in Barra da Tijuca, inside a mall with lots of dining options. If stay close to bar Zeca Pagodinho, be ready to not sleep very well as it will become very noise till later hours. Room need renovating, AC was blowing directly to the bed, there were missing parts to the AC unit, making impossible to divert the AC flow. Bed is comfortable, breakfast is good"

"The hotel was decent but requires immediate maintenance and upgrades. The furniture in the room was rusty, and there were stains on the carpet. However, the staff was excellent, with Lilian standing out for her exceptional room service. She ensured we always had fresh towels and that our room was thoroughly cleaned throughout our stay."
