"Very grand hotel in lovely surroundings. Facilities were good and teh breakfast was plentiful. My only negative woukd be that the room.i was allocated was a little dated in decoration and the TV did not pick up and channels."

"Really nice hotel. All the staff i spoke to were very friendly, with some banter and chat to make me feel right at home. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre. Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel is right on the side of a massive park/green. Nice location."

"Visited for our 32nd wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. Booked a classic double room but when we arrived were informed that they upgraded us to an executive room which was really large and immaculately prepared. We had use of the spa facilities if needed for additional cost but free use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna for 1 hour per day which made for a relaxing time after a long walk around York. "This is an older hotel, but well maintained. My room was small, but perfectly good for one person. It might be a bit tight for two people, but probably OK. Bathroom had been remodelled and was modern and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. They are remodelling the bar currently, but the small bar was very nice and opened out onto a nice veranda overlooking the harbour and with views of the Whitby Abbey on the other side. The dining room is large and very lovely. Good breakfast included with my booking. The location is fantastic, with waterfront location and terrific views. Definitely would stay here again."

"Great stay at the Marriott Leeds. The hotel was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It’s in a great location next to the trinity car park and shopping centre. Would definitely stay there again should we find ourselves going to Leeds. "
