"Everything about the stay was top class. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The food was absolutely fantastic, tasty, having large quantities and having a varied menu. The staff in the restaurant, in the Reception and behind the Bar were polite, extremely efficient, friendly approachable, top class again. The Management should be congratulated and keep these high standards. We will return again as we have done so over the years,"

"It's a lovely hotel with excellent grounds to walk the dogs in. Although it could do with a paint touch up in places and some TLC The room we had was clean and the bed was comfy. The service was good however they appeared to be short staffed. The young waitress in the dining room serving evening meal works really hard, and she's a credit to the hotel. The food at both breakfast and in the evening was really nice. We would return to this hotel again if staying over in Keswick."

"This is such a special place, historic, scenic,homely,warm and welcoming. The garden suite was outstanding and the food quality excellent. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the Guiness as sad as that is. It frustrates me incredibly when I order a branded draught beverage and it comes in a different branded glass. The Guiness was poured in one go whereas the connoisseurs of the black beauty recognise and appreciate it’s a slow patient process leaving mid way to stand for a while....

"The hotel is very friendly staff couldnt do enough for you . The food was 5 star on all meals and we could also pay extra to have breakfast in bed . (Real treat ) We had a four poster room which was lovely and a good size but a little noisey from the road .The beds and pillows were to hard for us but this is our preference so might suit a lot of people. All in all a wonderful stay and enjoyed the pool and sauna ,jacuzzi also We will ba back "
