"The Ethorpe Hotel has had a makeover recently, the rooms have been done to a good standard but there is a problem with the plumbing, We were given a downstairs room but the corridors had a unwelcoming unpleasant smell in them and when the next door room flushed their toilet it bubbled up trough our shower drain in the bathroom. Meals were also served to a high qaulity"

"Not bad for a london hotel but it is just rooms above a pub. A nice place to stay if you are visiting Kew Gardens. However, the room we stayed in had a single glazed window with very poor seals. So the room was cold alll night and the wind whistled through the window and rattled it. In addition the bed was incredibly hard (not just a firm mattress) and the sink in the bathroom was leaking. Look, it was fine: clean and reasonably priced and did us for a night but sometimes i think you wouldn't...

"A two night stay with family members. Traditional London pub which served very tasty food. Not all of the items on the menu or drinks in the bar were available. The rooms were clean but not spacious and situated on the side of the noisy south circular road. The staff were friendly and accommodating."
