However at busy times getting access was difficult due to ongoing steam of bikes, also room was adjacent to railway tracks and only way to compensate was to put the AC on! We come to Utrecht regularly but will not return to this hotel as a number of good alternatives around. "

"Star Lodge is a little way out of the centre of Utrecht but is conveniently located close to a bus line which takes you into the centre in a few minutes. The rooms are relatively basic but are large, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful, although they did forget to tell us about the honesty bar until we were about to leave. "A warm welcome on arrival. Lovely room in a separate building to the main one. Nice gardens and view from the room. Access to the spa included, but the pool was out of use both days. Charged extra by accident when checking out, but recitifed when phoned."

"It was a half hour walk from the train station, which we used to familiarize ourselves with the area. Could have very easily taken a bus, as there is a stop close to the hotel. Our room was on the 2nd level, but due to the set up of the hallways and rooms, we got lost trying to find ours, despite the desk clerk’s instructions.
