King size four poster bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Only concern was the very hot towel rail adjacent to the loo, I’d hate to lean against it whilst having sampled one to many of the ales downstairs. "

"The location is fantastic, on the high street with so many restaurants and shops on its doorstep. Our room was comfortable bug enough for 3 adults. The only thing I would say is the sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable, you could feel the springs as you turned. And alsi recommend changing the kettles from metal to plastic as my roommate burned herself using it. The breakfast was amazing with such a good selection "

"Amazing architecture. Very smart, polite, friendly and helpful staff. Extremely interesting building, full of history. Beautiful setting and massive grounds. Great views. Very comfortable. Traditional historic carvings, decor, ornate ceilings. Great breakfast, cooked to perfection. Very comfortable, fun and exciting. Love it."

Great get away.

"The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and spacious, lots of choices for diners. Breakfast was buffet style, very varied and the view from the dining windows looked over the grounds. All in all, an enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend. "

Lovely staff, accommodation, breakfast & location

"I added a note to my booking to ask info and to ask for extra duvet. Got swift answer and spare duvet ready when we checked in. Staff friendly, sofa bed good size, room clean and included bedroom was very lovely. Also great location with good food in pub just across the car park"

Excellent weekend break

"Had an excellent 2 night break. No delays or issues checking in, friendly greeting, everything was explained. Room was clean, tidy and bigger than expected. We ate in the restaurant in the evening - food was delicious, great service made it a lovely relaxing experience. Breakfast the next day was good, no shortage of choice and freshly cooked buffet and continental food. One issue - one of 2 coffee machines was broken (these things happen), the other on a go slow, so there were queues which could have been better managed, worked around"
