"I can’t imagine a more perfect stay. We showed up in the early evening and were greeted by Arpit who showed us what professional courtesy and perfect hospitality are all about. Rather than checking in at the desk where the evening crowds (and noise) were starting to gather, he personally escorted us up to our room and we did the check-in process there. From that point on, he checked in on us at various locations around the hotel throughout our stay to ensure that things were going well. They were! He was able to obtain a reservation at the much touted (and much deserved) Loya restaurant. We had a fabulous experience there. It started by being greeted by the Manager, Swarang, who ensured that everything went perfectly. It did! We enjoyed the best Indian meal we’ve ever had. It was all gorgeously presented and wonderfully prepared. She went above and beyond in honor of a combined celebration of our Anniversary, my wife’s birthday and Valentine’s Day by presenting us with a house photographer, some beautiful sweets and a bouquet of roses with a lovely personal message. Our amazing, young server, Sneha, completely overwhelmed us with her menu knowledge and impeccable service. With her amazing attitude and desire to please, she could easily become a manager very, very soon. We were also able to join in on a tour of the hotel hosted by a retired 40-year employee that cooked there. Amazing history and architecture highlights."

"Comfortable stay, room was on 16th floor Clean rooms, great amenities & fluffiest towels ever Breakfast at Vetro was superb, great quality food & a great team who took time explaining the Indian breakfast dishes & assisting us to choose (the masala Dosa was the best ever !) All the team were great, we were in the section that Rishab looked after at breakfast & he was exceptional We booked airport transfer through the hotel as we were arriving in the early hours, it was a little expensive at just under £100 (when you compare other options) but was very efficient & the driver was waiting for us in a Mercedes, it was worth it for peace of mind after a long flight Excellent check in even though we arrived at 2am There is a small pool at the hotel but you can also use the larger pool in their sister hotel next door in the Trident The hotel is a good location, quiet & safe, away from the bustle of Colaba but also accessible to main areas with on foot or cheaply in an uber & its good to have electric options We took an uber electric which we called from the hotel for our return journey to the airport, was a smooth easy journey & cost around £10 Would definitely recommend this hotel"

"We had a lovely stay at the Gordon Hotel. It was 2 blocks to the Gateway to India, and easy to walk anywhere. Never felt unsafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pillows were comfortable. We especially liked the restaurant on the main floor. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and a very good price. We had breakfast every morning and enjoyed the fresh fruit and fresh juices. We loved that it included Indian options and enjoyed the buffet as well as the menu. We also had both lunch and room service. Both delicious. Overall I’d love to stay there again. "

"I have nothing negative to say. It's really just an average (or slightly below) hostel. Run down building. No social activities. Staff are okay. Stayed in private room, and considering what you pay, it's really overpriced. "
