"I have knee problems and had to climb so many steps to get to restaurants. Don’t recommend if you are wheelchair or crutches bound since there’s no lift. Loved the surrounding which was quiet and peaceful walking through the jungle was safe. Best for relaxation and out of busy city life"

The rooms were not cleaned, the air conditioner did not blow cold air, the refrigerator did not work properly, the kitchenette and bathroom were covered with ants, the private pool was dirty and most of the lightbulbs in the room were burned out. "This was our 4th stay in Sebatu; previously at an adjacent but now closed property. We chose Uma Kelod due to it's location, solid and modern appearance and great value tariff. "This was the first place l stayed at during my first visit to Bali. Loved the quiet and peaceful surroundings, with stunning views of the rice fields. Great feeling to wake up to the sounds of the birds chirping. The villa itself was spacious, with beautiful furnishings. Staff were gracious and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back on my next visit."

"It was a fantastic experience. We used the Puri Nadi Heated Pool Villa, and the pool in the room was very large and the water quality was good. The breakfast and dinner course tasted great, too. All the staff were kind and the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. If I ever visit Ubud again, I would like to visit there again."

"The staff is really attentive to ALL of your needs. All staff was professional and if they didn't have the answer they were eager to get it for you. Lia, Warwan, Dewa, Risky, and Wendhi, are what make this property a truly mesmerizing experience for your trip. They go above and beyond providing you with exemplary customer service. These 5 people make this proerty what it is. Very clean rooms, and property. The restaurants provide a wide array of choices and the views are to die for. We definitely will be returning. "

"We had an excellent stay at Pondok Sebatu. We stayed with our teenager in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, which was very affordable in $AU. The location is idyllic if you are looking for a less touristy, more authentic experience of Balinese traditional life. We were nestled in the hills in Central Bali, surrounded by small properties with rice fields. We saw local wood carvers and artisans selling items from their homes and shops. The facility is very pleasant with warm, responsive and kind staff who can quickly arrange anything from a day tour of Ubud to an airport taxi to laundry, a massage or room service via a quick whatsapp request. Local drivers, spa staff, cooks and concierges are employed and there is a real sense of community building at the Villa. I highly recommend this villa to anyone with a genuine interest in combining learning about other cultures with being “spoiled” with much needed relaxation, in beautiful surroundings. "

Fair, however needs improvement.

"Staff were very freindly and at hand when needed. It was a nice quite location to begin our trip away from the chaos one has come to expect in Bali. The view from the room and dining room into the lush forest was very peacefully. Breakfast was good, however evening meals were very average. So much so, we decide to take the taxis in to ubud (about 30 minutes away) for dinner for the last 3 nights of our stay. Food and drinks are over priced for the quality, compared to the local area.it Bed was ok, however pillows 2 out of 10. Spa was excellent highly recommend. Rooms needed some TLC, doors hard to open to bathroom, tap in bathroom didn't work as it should. Towels were clean (however stained) they need to replace them. Overall l think its rated as 4 star (maybe 3.5 stars) They just need to improve food, replace linen, review each room from top to bottom) The hotel price/package was good, however if we stayed in this area again we would try somewhere else."
