"Same day booking for night away from home. Overall ok, no frills accommodation. £5 for parking. Efficient check in. Clean small basic room, clean but small bathroom. Nothing fancy but ok for overnight stay. Bar menu very minimal thefore chose to eat elsewhere. Drinks in the bar later again ok prices and service ok. "Very grand and impressive hotel, and although an old building everything was in a clean and good condition. The only exception was the bed. The bedding (i suspect the quilt) smelt musty and stale and the mattress was tired with springs easily felt as you lay on it. The pillows were not very nice either."
