"The Vine Inn is in a great location (right in downtown Davis, easy walk to coffee, food and UCD). They have close, easy parking and quick, friendly check-in and check-out. "My girlfriend and I had a very solid time at this location. I only spoke with staff twice, but they were very courteous and respectful both times. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was spacious. The only noteworthy issues were that the shower drain was clogged somewhat each night and would only drain the water very slowly, and that there appeared to be slight signs of mold on the bathroom walls/ceiling due to the moisture from showering. "Check in was good, but upon getting to the room we noticed the window was wide open without a screen so my husband did a walk thru before my son and I entered. The nightstand shelves were dirty, the floor was swept but definitely not mopped (sticky stuff on floor) in the bathroom there were dirty wash cloths hanging on the curtain hanger. Definitely not the cleanest place but it was quiet and we just needed a place for sleep. "

"Checked in at midnight without any issue. Staff was very friendly. Lots of noise from the freeway and a dog barking from another room, so if you need quiet to sleep this is not the best place! Room was nice and clean and comfortable. No amenities in the bathroom except soap - so if you plan to shower BYO"
