"Hotel was exactly what we needed. Location is very central. Mathew at the front desk was nothing short of amazing. What a lovely guy and very attentive. The only negative would be it would have been nice to have a breakfast, however they do have a great coffee bar in the foyer. Would definitely stay again. "

"This was a lovely spot for our couple's weekend in the city. The area was close to the action but just on the outskirts so it was nice and quiet. They happily stored our bags for us in the morning before check-in so we could explore the city, and were accommodating in every way. The room was clean and comfy and there was a smart TV in the room that allowed you to sign in to your streaming accounts, which was nice. I was able to finish the movie I started on the plane."

The only place we will stay

"The location of the hotel could not be more perfect, and so is the price but the real reason we stay here is the people. Literally ALL the people we encountered at the River Hotel have been incredible. Given the expected turnover in staff in two years, we were thrilled to see the same gentleman behind the counter. The other two staffers were genuine, honest and extremely helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near the Loop. (One unexpected bonus - if you can spot the Trump building you know where your hotel is - right across the street. ) "
