I understand that Shimla is a hill station with uneven terrain and narrow roads. Even with this limitation, this hotel has an excellent land area and profile. The hotel must have enjoyed excellent glory in the past. However, this hotel is now unacceptably old and most of the features are worn out. This hotel needs a complete make over before being presented for international standard accommodation. However, we truly appreciate the help, care and concern of the staff and availability of quality food with the room service option.

Wonderful family that owns and manages! All stars for them! Was not particularly comfortable while there. Room was cold and electric heater not strong enough to compensate. Clearly much investment/repair is underway. From what I understand, will be very nice! Particularly the new Valley View rooms which are under construction. I don’t enjoy leaving net-negative reviews but I do think that, in the spirit of honest crowd-sourcing of information…… In short, a cute/historic place with very nice staff. Just temper your expectations (at least until the construction and repairs are completed).
