"We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. "Very shabby hotel. Were told we couldn’t open the window due to hatching birds (!) and there was no A/C. Had paid for a triple room, but one of the beds was a roll-away stuffed into a twin room, with very little room left to move around. The roll-away bed collapsed every time someone sat on it, but they had to send staff twice to check because they didn’t believe us. Were finally offered a single room free of charge. Beds were uncomfortable, and the hotel was quite run down. Sad, because it is...
