"This guest house is very simple. It has a beautiful stair case and no elevator. It's central location in the city is excellent, but obviously there can be noisy people in the streets and city noise. There are several coffee and breakfast places within a 5 minute walk. The beds were more comfortable than usual. The shower had hot water. For the price I paid, I was satisfied."

"One of the best hotels we ever stayed. Our room was not large but it was comfortable and we had enough space to put our stuff. The service was impeccable the people that work at this hotel could not be friendlier. They help us with dinner suggestions, buying bus tickets, tourist attractions. They served us delicious breakfast that was freshly prepared every morning. We had the best view of the Douro River. I would stay there again!"

"This place is truly a gem. Mariana is amazing and possibly the nicest person i have ever met. She reached out ahead of our stay and arranged a pickup for us at the airport. This made whole process seamless. Her hotel is in a perfect location within walking distance to pretty much anywhere you would want to go in Porto (keep in mind Porto has a lot of hills so you will get good cardio workout in). Mariana also served us an amazing breakfast. She was also a wealth of knowledge about the area...

"My concerns were about the arrival process. I booked this on the train from Lisbon arriving at 2:45 pm. So I didn’t get check in details until after I arrived, so if you don’t have data you are SOL as reception closes at 3 pm ( Get that , check in at 3 ,doors shut tight at 3) I tried to call from the train and train station upon arrival but no answer. "I paid extra to overlook the garden - which was quiet and beautiful, well worth it. The front of the Guesthouse overlooks a hospital and, currently, building works. The location was good and felt very safe. Easy to walk everywhere. The ambience and character of the Guesthouse were fabulous - felt palatial and gorgeous."

"The beds seemed fine but the air conditioning didn’t work properly. The bedroom overlooked the back where a constant whirring noise from the multiple air con condensers were placed. From time to time, we can smell cigarette smoke even throughout the night. The night that we stayed there was a massive argument outside between a group of men n women which could clearly be heard in the apartment."

"The apartment was lovely, perfect for 1-2 persons, with a great view from the balcony. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Leonor. The location was fantastic, very close to the Bolhão market, the metro, dining, shopping and groceries. It was easy to walk to the historic district and the river. Next time I am in Porto, I will definitely stay here again!"
