"Nice little B&B with great hosts. Stayed for two nights. Room has a fridge which is big enough for quite a few tins/bottles so that was good to have. Decent shower. Brekko was a great fry up. My gf couldn't get up in time for it as it ends at 9am, however the guys gladly provided me with some food for her which we put in a tupperware box for later. One night stay in family room which was perfectly set out with kids feeling like they had their own room and we had a good space to ourselves aswell to relax while they were sleeping. "Lovely clean room, comfy bed. Ate in the bar & enjoyed a nice meal, friendly staff in bar area. It was not warm enough to sit in the garden but in warmer weather there were plenty of tables outside in a nice spacious garden. Hotel is situated away from the centre of whitby but is very handy for the park & ride bus service which works out much cheaper than using the town car parks. "

"We really enjoyed our stay but found the cleaning timetable below expectations. We like to relax after lunch but our room was not cleaned until after 3pm which meant that we had to arrange our activities around the hotel schedule rather than the other way round. When we asked there appeared to be no flexibility in the cleaning schedule ."

"This is an older hotel, but well maintained. My room was small, but perfectly good for one person. It might be a bit tight for two people, but probably OK. Bathroom had been remodelled and was modern and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. They are remodelling the bar currently, but the small bar was very nice and opened out onto a nice veranda overlooking the harbour and with views of the Whitby Abbey on the other side. The dining room is large and very lovely. Good breakfast included with my booking. The location is fantastic, with waterfront location and terrific views. Definitely would stay here again."

Victoria at Robin Hood's Bay

"Great location, wonderful view over the bay which was made the more due to the glorious weather. We had room 8 with views over the bay. Very spacious. Wide breakfast choice and served hot, plenty of tea and coffee. Waiters all very helpful and cheerful. Had evening meal in Osbornes one evening, good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Plus excellent location for cliff top walk to Whitby but it is nearly 7 miles, inclines and took nearly 3 hours but great views if you're up to it and weather is favourable"

A little gem

"We enjoyed a 3 night stay at The Wilson Arms. It’s a lovely little Restaurant/Pub/B&B. Tastefully decorated with modern touches although keeping some of the old charm. Everything was finished to a great standard and our room was very comfortable with comfy bed and good shower. It was an excellent base for exploring Whitby and the Yorkshire Moors. We used the P&R into Whitby which had, conveniently, just started running again for the Season Breakfast provided a good choice of cereal and cooked items and cooked and presented very well. We ate at the Inn on two nights (too full after fish & chips in Whitby the middle night!) and this was also good. The owner (Dawn?) and I think her name was Zoe, were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Altogether a lovely stay and we would definately recommend. "
