"Run by a lovely young family, this place is a veritable retreat. We got a balcony room over the river and it was worth it. You can see the covered bridge, stars, and the church overlooking the property. The beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast is nice. "A very nice hotel. Friendly staff, very clean and they made a real effort for my”speacil needs” breakfast. Disntbuse the spa but it looked fantastic. A well run hotel with real emphasis on customer service. The only negative thing was that the hotel was “closed” on arrival (12:30 am) and if there had not been a few people in the bar outside I am not sure how we would have got in. "

"The hotel was clean and conveniently located to the city center. The staff was friendly and there was a good basic breakfast. The room was too warm and it was difficult to turn down the heat. "This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Lamm, the 2 previous times it was as a couple this time I was a solo traveller. I had a single room and was pleasantly surprised (not having stayed in a single room before) the room had a fridge that came in handy, and a view of the valley from the balcony. "This was a lovely hotel. However, be warned that if you book a room based on the picture you will be let down- there was no four-poster bed in our room. Actually although we had clearly booked a Kat4 room with a balcony, the first room we were allocated had no balcony and a view from the window of a wall. We complained and were then given a slightly larger room with a shared balcony, but no sign of the four poster bed. Breakfast was fine, and the breakfast staff were lovely. "

"Shocking! No reception to check you in despite it being 3pm, envelope left on stairs with room number! Breakfast was a joke, cereal, few bread buns and a menu offer to cook an egg and that was it! Didn’t even have a toaster! Room was ok but we were on top floor and having to carry cases up 3sets of stairs to the top floor wasn’t ideal! Bathroom was so small the door barely closed with sink and toilet. Bed was good though!"

Quiet Black Forest accommodations.

"Friendly and helpful staff at a nice hotel in a quiet corner of the Black Forest. Dining was very good, and while the breakfast was not elaborate it was tasty and staff kept the buffet stocked even during a morning rush. All in all a good value."
