I really liked the staff. The breakfast was excellent.The location wasn't convenient for walking anywhere of interest. Nonetheless, I was happy with my stay.

I loved the location of hotel, building architecture, insulation, big room, electrical outlets and USB charging, keyless doors, cleanliness, great breakfast, convenient bar at 7-10 pm. But the absence of staff and reception counter was very weird and impersonal. Hard to get quick, verbal information. One friendly human person at counter would have made a great difference. Parking spaces were too few. Arrangements by Oddsson could have been made with the commercial lot next door (at Pizza place) to allow hotel clients to park cars there at night. That parking lot is mostly empty at night and is a waste. I would have paid a nominal fee (I repeat: "nominal") to park there.

Nice hotel, clean, easy to get to. As other reviews stated parking is limited. We were able to park alongside the building no charge. Really good breakfast, waffles, eggs, sausages, good mix of fruits, oatmeal, yogurt. Room was large and spacious. Had a little kitchenette.

We chose the Oddsson for our week-long family vacation to Iceland. It was a great location for easy in & out - we rented a car and were able to park easily in the garage every night. A few times it did fill up, but thankfully we were never without a spot. The breakfast was wonderful (especially the waffles) and the lounge area was a nice place to hang out and let our kids play chess and foosball nightly. Managing the temperature and humidity in our room took a few days to get used to (kept window cracked and radiator low). The open concept shower was annoying - getting the entire bathroom wet, but we managed. Staff was quick to respond to email when we inquired about new towels - they stated they clean on 3rd & 5th days, not every other day as advertised. We added on the night before our original reservation so that we could check-in early (8am) and enjoy breakfast. The hotel was not located near any tourist areas, just a few shops and small fast food restaurants. For the price, the accommodation was nice and satisfactory for our purposes; we enjoyed driving 2-3 hour radius around Reykjavik for our trip.

This was our only hotel during our ten days around the ring road that did not let us check in early. It was pretty empty so the hotel was quiet. There are 16 parking spaces or you have to park in the street. It was pretty empty so we were able to park. The TV is not a smart TV so you cannot stream anything. We didn’t have tea cups or a kettle in the room. It was very basic and nothing special. We did see the northern lights right over the hotel and this place did have the best breakfast.

This property is not near downtown so not walkable. It’s nice to not need to check in or out as they email you a code for your room. Great breakfast and was able to get a kettle for tea.

The parking situation, the first come first serve isnt ideal, even though the other lot to park in is less than a 5 min walk, its just not fun to walk after a long day with all of your luggage.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were clean and warm. There is no reception as such but staff are always available at the bar and are super helpful. Breakfast was great, good selection of hot and cold foods. The hotel is located in its own little shopping district and the city centre is just a 15 minute bus ride away. If I ever find myself in Reykjavik again I will be back

My Partner & I’s stay at ODDSSON Midtown Hotel was wonderful and perfect for our first trip to Iceland. The location is ideal for easily leaving Reykjavik and for also going to the tourist sights Downtown. The room was clean and spacious enough to not feel cramped. It could get quite warm though without air conditioning, but we were fine with just opening the window slightly. The included breakfast buffet was great and made for a really nice start each morning. It’s also great for saving a little on meals which certainly do quickly tally up if you’re staying for more than a couple of days. I think the only slight downside regarding our stay was the car parking at the property. It is quite limited and rapidly fills up in the evening, meaning you’ll need to park elsewhere away from the hotel. As many tourists like ourselves use hire cars, it can be a little frustrating arriving at 8pm to find the car park completely full. That being said, street parking is relatively safe and there aren’t too many restrictions on nearby roads. All in all, if we return to Iceland, we’d certainly look to book the ODDSSON again.

The beds were comfortable and the room was quaint. The breakfast is normal continental breakfast, the coffee is strong. Kata and Maria were wonderful bartenders in the evening!!! The parking is challenging. We parked across the street in the little strip mall parking, much better

Great hotel at a good price. I booked the economy double but later realized it was fairly small from reading reviews. I was worried it would be too small for my husband and I but we were pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was great as well. Perfect hotel for the price point

There is no front desk or staff on hand most of the day. The bartenders in the evening were great. Very helpful with questions, advice and very nice too!
