"Overall, it good place to stay. I wanted more active resort hotel, not aware that it is essentially a hoyel with a couple restaurants. I wouldnt say it is the typical large all inclusive resorts. I did enjoy the food. Choices were limited but delicious. Staff was great. Walking distance to beach. This place has sister resorts in which you need to play extra for access and/or transit to. If you just want to chill and do nothng, this is place for you. "

"We had a lovely time at the reef, they have clean water fluntains all over the resort and the food never disappointed. Our room was a little small and the beds are not comfortable, there was also hardly any evening entertainment for the week thatvwe were there, so that was kind of boring. But we still had an nice time enjoying the pool and the beach"

"We loved staying at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. We brought our 3year old and 8month old and had a fantastic time. The resort was gorgeous with plants and trees everywhere throughout the resort. "The staff are amazing. They are very friendly, polite and helpful. The floor in our room wasn't overly clean, but everything else was great. All of the restaurants at the resort had amazing food! Our daughter went to Mexico 2 years ago and stayed at a resort but after telling her about our stay at Riu, now she wants to stay at a Riu resort the next time she goes to Mexico!"

"Communication was poor before arrival. Comments said front desk closed at 6:00 pm and I was arriving close to midnight. I sent several messages to them before I got a clear answer that there was a front desk clerk 24 hours a day. Also, I had booked a room with picture of a fridge, but they told me in comments no rooms had fridges. I had one after all. Comments did not explain to you that there is an elevator too."

"The property looks just like the oics. We were on the main level, cute patio with table 2 chairs qnd a hammock. If you leave the doorwall cracked you can hear the ocean waves from bed. It was a comfortable room with everything we needed. We were steps from the beach, it was small but plenty of loungers. "We had an amazing stay here for our vacation! All of the staff were super friendly and attentive, and check in/out were both so smooth. The food was amazing as well. The buffet has so many options for everyone and the a la carte restaurants had great food too. You do have to book a reservation for the restaurants and they do book up a couple of days in advance, so just keep this in mind. We ate at the buffet the first few nights and then tried some restaurants after that. The resort grounds are very beautiful and so well maintained. There is a lot of green space, so lots of wildlife including cats, coatis, deer, iguanas, raccoons, etc. We loved seeing all the animals enjoying the nature. There are tons of pools to enjoy, a few of which have swim up bars. The beach is also great and has lots of beach chairs to relax on. Everything was so clean and well taken care of, you can tell the staff really do a great job to make sure you enjoy your stay. I would highly recommend choosing this resort if you're going to the Riviera Maya. We just left last week and I already want to go back."
