"This is a big hotel in Okuhida onsengo area, having amasing baths (onsen). We came for both the springs and the winter illumination experience and we had both. Loved it. The outdoor baths (shared) are great. We also tried hida meet as well as local hotel specialities, like turtle soup and caviar, highly recommended. I would love to come back one day."

"Its proximity to the ropeway was the biggest catch. They have a true onsen but sadly people are naked and don’t wear clothing and modesty is not followed . "Stayed at this Ryokan May of 2019. Great location if you want to explore the apps a bit. You are less than 15 min from shinhotaka ropeway which I highly recommend. Also close to kamikoche which is also supposed to be gorgeous. This was my first time in a Ryokan so I don’t have much to compare to. The place is old but I believe most ryokan are.
