"Located in the old town of Durlach, we had free parking on the street every night, right near the hotel. I've never been in a hotel where everything in the mini bar is complimentary ! Beer, water, soda, coffee, was free of charge, Prima! if you choose to decline housekeeping, they give you a 5 Euro gift card each day to spend at the bar. Nice touch. "The room was spacious and comfortable, but certainly not worth the price nor rating of a 4.5 star hotel. Hotels.com boasted "4 restaurants" while in actuality there was only one restaurant with 4 different sitting areas with the same menu and you could not choose in which area you wished to sit. The older staff was also not at all friendly and acted a bit annoyed with every question or request. There were also loud noises with the creaking of the wood steps and hallways."
