"The hotel itself was good but nothing special. Clean and comfortable room was spacious with a couple of English TV channels. Pool area was a good place to relax. Service at check in and at the restaurant/bar was great. Parking lot was large. The only negative were the prices for beverages and some food items. For example the breakfast buffet was $29 pp USD so we chose to order from the menu. The breakfast prices were alright but we ordered coffee and were charged $10,000 CRC (colones)...

"We spent 5 days in Tamarindo and really liked the Best Western. We had a small balcony, but didn't use that so much as the upstairs patio area that was near the pool. We could catch a breeze there when it was hot and in general it was a nice comfortable space to hang out when we weren't doing something outside the hotel area. Visitors should be aware that on Friday nights, there is a very loud party with music that does on until about 2 AM. We were not made aware of this until we arrived but it...

"Nice place, a bit older, but clean. close to ocean, but a bit of a walk to get there. Big climb to get to rooms, ok if you are not physically hampered. Close to some decent dining if you have a car. Food at property was average. Great value for dollars. Rooms very small and bank of 5 rooms share a small patio space. Nice common space below at front office. Many staff were volunteers from other countries learning to Kite Surf, they were all very friendly."

"This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays in recent memory. The staff was courteous and kind. The food was amazing on sit and the accommodations were great. The resort is 2.5hours away from the airport, mostly on local roads so be prepared for a trip after your flight into Costa Rica, but the experience is well worth it in my opinion."
