"A great escape with great service. A bit out of town away from the noisy traffic, set in gorgeous surroundings. The room was very large and clean and beds were comfortable. Felt like 5 star. The bar and food options were good. Altogether a great stay where our every need was met."

"I stayed at Camp Logan during the month of July 2024. We had two sets of parents with us, so we booked the villa so that we could all be together. Only upon arrival did we find out that there are individual rooms and not connected to each other. There was also some construction going on next door (new villas are being constructed), so there was some rubble near our villa. The first day we had no water in any of the rooms in the morning. It took a few hours to get it fixed, which inconvenienced us a lot, especially the older people in our group. It also put us back on our day trip schedule. Later that night, a group of young bachelors were up till 4am being loud and celebrating a get together. On the last day, it rained heavily, and we had a lot of water coming into the rooms through the window seals. It was hard to spot on the white floors, and I'm thankful nobody from our group was injured. The only positives were the boys in the kitchen. They were always around to help (especially Karthik) and the breakfasts were good all days we were there. I would not stay at Camp Logan again since it does not offer value for money. "

"A fabulous hotel in the small city of Ooty. Service was excellent. One example - the tennis final was on a channel that was not subscribed to on the hotel system, they subscribed! Facilities are modern, even having USB charging points built in, in the rooms. The hotel offered several daily activities including free tea tasting every afternoon and evenings around a garden fire, (we missed out on the fire as the weather was awful during our visit ). "

"Beautiful property snd rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It has all the modern amenities while retaining the old school charm of such an old building. We loved the wood burning fire place in the room as well. Breakfast was really good and staff at breakfast place was very friendly and courteous and service was top notch. Afternoon high tea was also amazing. Property has a beautiful courtyard and several charming cottages and suites. Highly recommend staying here for Ooty visit"

"Gateway is an older Taj property that reeks of old world charm. The cottages and gardens are expertly laid out and the service is attentive. My room was well appointed but old. Overall an excellent option in the Coonoor area."

"When I checked in the room had prior guest’s trash and the bed and bathroom smelled terrible. The couch had blood stains. Gave my laundry to be cleaned and it came back stinking like urine. The food was also bad."

"There was no heat even though the temperature was below 50 degree Fahrenheit. The shower did not work and the food for breakfast had run out. Our rooms had absolutely no windows or sunlight. Badly needs renovation. Most importantly it’s being run with skimpy staff and so no one answered the telephones or took care of you. Sad because bones of property are great. "
