I didn’t realize how far away this hotel was from bus stops or train stations when booking and found myself kind of stranded (I tried to walk to the bus stop 20minutes away and the streets immediately around the hotel are not designed for pedestrians). "The property is nice and has all required aspects for a family stay with kids with a small kids library shelf near the reception, vending machine and dining hall access throughout. Staff were also very nice and parking was ample and easy. Only regret for this property was the carpet in the room was quite old, stained and dusty - it needs replacement or deep cleaning. "Nice hotel. Huge room. The bathroom was bigger than the other Japan hotels we stayed at. All the staff we interacted with were fantastic. A bit of a language barrier but they tried their best to communicate. We got a really good rate for two days, included breakfast. Just so no one is caught off guard as I was, this is an adult hotel. "We enjoyed staying this property with amazing view of Mt Fuji. The owner & all the staff are very friendly & welcoming. The property facilities is a bit old but very clean. We stayed on the top floor level 4 with a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. You can enjoy the view in the enclosed terrace area. Only downside no lifts so you are expecting to climb a lot of stairs if you are staying on the 4th floor. Staff will bring the luggage to your room. I could definitely return to stay in this property...

"For what I paid, the room was tremendous value. It consisted of all of the necessities, as well as a few perks I found unique compared to other places I've stayed at: 1) video on demand (great selection of anime movies for 500 yen) and 2) free shuttle bus to Gotemba Premium Outlet (the best outlet I've ever been to). Breakfast is free but I found it lacked in variety and quality (can't complain since the room was so inexpensive)."

"Great location just in front of Lake Ashi with nearby attractions within walkable distances. There’s onsen onsite with 1 small pool, and foot bath and bicycle rental outside of hotel. Friendly staff. Room is big but rather dated in room condition and facilities. Found hair in bathroom. Futon have to be self serviced."

"Staff was super lovely upon check in. Please be advised they may need your booking confirmation number if you booked through Expedia or another third party. We got a room with a Mt.Fuji view and it was absolutely one of my favorite parts of my entire trip to Japan. For this price, I can’t recommend HaoStay enough. It is also short walk from Kawaguchiko station & a short walking distance from some restaurants & a convenience store. 10/10!"
