Stunning city views, an aquarium, shops and restaurants are part of this futuristic tower that looms over the southern banks of the Han River.

Lotte World Tower is a contemporary entertainment, retail and residential skyscraper. Discover floor upon floor of brand-name and luxury fashion outlets. Get close to exotic marine life, browse displays of artwork and attend classical music concerts. Lotte World Tower also offers some of the best views of Seoul from its observation deck.

Marvel at the tower’s impressive stats. It has 123 floors and is 1,821 feet (555 meters) tall, making it one of the world’s tallest buildings. Its conceptual design takes inspiration from the curvature of traditional Korean art. The sparkling glass exterior consists of 42,000 window panes. An impressive 58 elevators, traveling at a top speed of 33 feet (10 meters) per second, transport visitors between the floors.

Ride the elevator to the Seoul Sky observation deck on the upper floors. The glass-paneled platform and outdoor deck provide incredible panoramas of Seoul’s magnificent skyline. On clear days you can see the rooftops of Incheon and the Yellow Sea.

Public art decorates the courtyard outside the tower. Spot Jaume Plensa’s Possibilities, a human sculpture made from metal Hangul Korean letters. Admire a replica of the statue of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe located in Berlin’s Tiergarten Park.

Two interlinking shopping malls connect with the tower. Find popular retail brands, including H&M and Zara, in addition to prestigious labels such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Browse bookshops, chocolatiers, jewelers and sports apparel stores. Spread over the retail floors are food courts with cafés and restaurants serving everything from burgers to freshly baked pastries, noodles and seafood.

Spot varied ocean life while walking through the wraparound tunnels of the aquarium. Watch the latest releases from Asia and Hollywood at the 21-screen cinema. Performances of live classical music are held regularly at the concert hall whose design is inspired by a wine cellar.

Reach Lotte World Tower by catching the subway to Jamshil Station. Parking is available for a fee. The Seoul Sky lookout is open daily and has an admission fee. The malls are open daily, although the hours of each shop may vary. Visit the tower’s official website for more information.
