"Good basic Appart’hotel. Rooms were spacious enough and the outdoor pool was nice for a dip. The indoor pool with sauna etc definitely gave the standard of the hotel a boost. Nice 1 mile walk along the coastline into the city centre, or the bus stop is close to the hotel. Areas for improvement/watch-outs….. our room was not cleaned once in 4 days. "Great one bedroom suite, with kitchen area in the sitting room. Useful washing machine/dryer. Large comfortable double bed with an amazing light system in the board behind the pillows. Walkable to the old town with it’s great pixos/tapas bars and parking, which you can reserve in advance with Telpark, is only 2 minutes walk away.The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would have been nice to have an armchair as well as sofa in the sotting room. Excellent stay."

"The property profile was misleading. There was no bedroom only a hallway with bunk beds and a sleeper sofa. The sofa was dirty and had stains on it. The unit had an extreme odor. The cancellation policy was lousy. The check-in was only available at certain times. "

"L’endroit est vieillot, pas au goût du jour. Les restos et épiceries se font difficilement à pied. Les aires communes sont propres tout comme la piscine ! Le studio pour 2 impliques de dormir sur le divan-lit et celui-ci est pas trop confo ! Dans l’ensemble c’est ok en fonction du prix. Personnellement je n’irais pas pour de long séjour. Il y a aussi la possibilité d’avoir le déjeuner sur place mais non inclus. Le choix etait plus qu’ordinaire pour le prix ! "

"We stayed 6 nights with a family of 4 and found it was a very enjoyable residence due it’s relatively small scale, comfortable apartments with complete furnishings, super welcoming staff and a well-sized swimming pool. "We stayed 6 nights while touring San Sebastián and did some day trips to Bilbao, Biarritz and Bayonne. We enjoyed the 35 minute walk into the old town passing by the seaside. The hotel was the perfect place for us after a long day of exploring San Sebastián. Facilities were exactly what we needed. We will be back. "

"This new Axel is beautiful. From my initial greeting by a very hospitable Racquel, to the gorgeous room. Everything is spotlessly clean, obviously it’s new but the bed was comfortable and a gorgeous shower. My only tiny negative is that the spa pool could have been warmer, but the hotel was superb value for money and a fifteen minute walk from The Conch and incredible food options of the Old Town. I would recommend it highly"
