The large historic house is very beautiful and has a very interesting history that the hosts are happy to share with guests. The accommodations were very nice and comfortable and the cook to order breakfast was delicious! We would love to stay again!
My wife and I had booked the Burton Court for a nice relaxing weekend away, it looked really nice in the photos and had a real look of splendor about it. We got there and found it to be just so, the room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. Ben and Helen the owners actually live there with there family and they couldn't do enough for us to make our stay perfect. There are only 3 rooms that are available but they are all extremely well presented and I can't recommend the hotel high enough. They also cater for weddings and I could see what a marvellous venue it would make for anyone's wedding. Ben and Helen gave us a tour of part of the house and the history of the house was fascinating as they've unearthed lots of facts about both the house and estate it stands in. If we're ever back in the area we'd definitely book to stay there again.
Edward and Helen were so attentive, they spent time telling us about the history of their amazing home. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The breakfast was a lovely sociable affair, where we met 4 other guests and had a lovely conversation. Thank you so much Helen and Edward we will definitely stay at Burton Court again.
We visited Burton Court to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Helen and Edward were the perfect hosts. The rooms are beautiful and the whole house is steeped in so much history- we even managed to have a tour. Breakfast 10/10 too.
A fantastic experience in a truly historic and unique setting. Fabulous hosts, great breakfast, lovely area, perfect country escape. Loved the size of the rooms and how nicely laid out everything was. Remarkable place to stay.
Our couple of days away turned into a weekend experience. While the house and property is both amazing and intriguing, the hosts couldn't be more welcoming.
Can’t rate this property highly enough. We’re passionate about history and archaeology so the setting was perfect. The welcome couldn’t have been warmer. The rooms were huge and charmingly eccentric, the bed enormous and comfortable and the breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients. We were very happy with our stay, and with relatives in the area, we’d love to return.
The owners, Edward and Helen, were very welcoming and friendly. It’s a magnificent building with loads of interesting history. Going by the size of the building, one would have expected it to be a bit on the cold side but instead it was really warm. The setting and the grounds are beautiful with superb uninterrupted views. The bedrooms are very large with well appointed en-suite and superbly presented. Everything you could possibly want or need is provided. The breakfast was excellent and in an interesting room. Before leaving, we were given a conducted tour of the house by Edward which was very enlightening. In conclusion, our stay was really enjoyable and we will definitely return and cannot rate our stay highly enough.
If anyone reading this review is in the area enhance your experience by staying at Burton Court.
