"We have ridden our bicycles down the Asbury boardwalk for years, and have always wanted to stay at the Berkeley. Its location and architecture are iconic, as is its history! So We stayed there many nights recently, knowing it’s off season. Of course the pool was closed, as was the restaurant. At least the sports bar was (sometimes) open and usually jumping. The staff was excellent, very helpful in many ways. Our room was worth the amazing views up and down the shore! Walking around the boardwalk...

"We loved bring right off the boardwalk. The restaurant changed owners and we couldn’t enter from the hotel area this year. There was mold all over our shower curtain, not the cleanest hotel but stay here for convenience and the front desk staff are excellent."

"The Quaker Inn is a great place to stay; I highly recommend it! It’s located in the heart of Ocean Grove and only a 2-minute walk to many dining options and shopping. Although not large, our room was on the ground floor and super clean! Lovely porches, located on all three floors, face the town’s main commerce street (called Main Ave.). "After reading several scathing reviews of this place, I decided to try staying there for myself and I was pleasantly surprised. Clearly the poor reviews are coming from people who are accustomed to staying at much fancier, more expensive hotels. But for the value, it’s hard to beat its prime location right by the beach and boardwalk. For the lady that I spoke to for my late check out, thank you for accommodating me over the phone. I left early to drive back to the airport and totally forgot to check out.
