"This hotel is close to the train station, about a 5-10 minute walk. Check in was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was about a 10 minute walk north from the hotel to get to an area with interesting restaurants and shops. I also like that you can book a room with a washing machine, although I didn't not do so myself. If I visit Matsumoto again, I would definitely look to stay here."

"The food was excellent but the property was far from attractions with no stores around. If you are relying on public transport it was a ways away from the train station and you have to walk from the bus stop in the dark with no proper lights. If your using it as a base to go skiing it's excellent not if you expect night life"
